Ramiza

Ramiza Sakip Ademova was born in Roma family in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. She graduated with a Bachelor`s degree in Education at the University Sv. Kliment Ohridski of Skopje as an elementary teacher in primary school from 1st – 4 class.

At the moment she leaving in Germany in a small town called Iserlohn near Dortmund.

Since 2022 she was working as a trainer for Roma in the European Wergaland Centre and she trained school principals, teachers and representatives from Local authorities from different countries: Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria.

Since 2018 – 2022, she was working as Advisor for Education in the only one Roma municipality of Suto Orizari which is located in the capital town Skopje.

From 2011 – 2016, she had worked as a trainer and facilitator of the European Training Program for Roma Mediators – ROMED 1 and ROMED 2. She trained 100 Roma mediators and local administration staff from 10 local municipalities in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Since 1995 she was actively involved in establishing of several Roma NGO`s in Macedonia, such Roma Women Association “ESMA”, Organization of Roma Youth” ANGLUNIPE”, NGO “ROMA CENTER of SKOPJE, Roma Women Network “TOGETHER”, Roma NGO Network “ROMA 2002” where she gained all her experience for the past 30 years as a Roma activist at the local and national level.

In the European level she started as a youth activist when she had joined in 1997 the Forum of European Roma Young People – FERYP, from 2009 – 2011 she was a member in the Advisory Council on Youth, statutory body of the COE representing the Roma youth issues.

She also completed two internships in 2006 in the European Commission DG Education and Culture in Brussel and in the Council of Europe in the Division for Roma and Traveler Group, Strasbourg where she became more familiar with the European mechanisms and Educational polices for Roma.

In 2005 she took a part in the Roma Access Program (RAP) at the Central European University, Budapest where she took courses on Human Rights and International relations.
She speak several languages: Roma, English, Macedonian and Ex -Yugoslavian languages.
